Symplicity Wins Contract to Design, Develop and Implement the Online System for Clerkship Application and Review (OSCAR)
January 3rd, 2005 1:10pm EST. Arlington, VA.
The Online System for Clerkship Application and Review (OSCAR) will be an Internet-based
application that will allow clerkship applicants at all law schools file their application materials on-line and designate the judges to whom they wish to apply; and will allow judges and chambers staff to sort and screen applications on-screen, downloading and printing only the applications that are needed.
The system will support the application process by allowing letters of recommendation to be posted confidentially to applicants’ files. The result will be electronic filing for applicants who choose to
do so and electronic access for judges who choose to use it.
To deploy the solution, Symplicity will rely on its exiting Career Services Management Information System which is deployed at dozens of institutions nationwide including Harvard Law School, University of Chicago Law School, Boalt Hall, and Notre Dame Law School.
